Erika Stafford, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Stafford is a Kansas native who grew up in Topeka with a love of animals. She earned a B.S. in Agriculture/Animal Science and an Equine Science Certificate from Kansas State University in 2017, and was also part of the Early Admission Program for KSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While in undergraduate, Dr. Stafford discovered a love of horses and competed in, then ran, the horse division of the Little American Royal at KSU. During vet school at Kansas State, she worked for the Large Animal ICU overnights, caring for both equine and livestock patients, and was a cat coordinator for Riley County Humane Society.
After graduating vet school in 2021, Dr. Stafford spent a few months doing equine medicine in Massachusetts before moving back to the area. Dr. Stafford’s professional interests include preventive medicine and equine reproduction and general practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Stafford enjoys riding and eventing her horse, reading, writing, and spending time with her pets. Her personal zoo includes two dogs, two cats, two horses, a Guinea pig, and some fish.
